I did manage to try the Saturday Night Metal night at Boulevard Tavern last weekend for about an hour. It was fun knowing almost all the songs played.K came into town and we went to Katatonia at BB King's Thursday, good show. I figured I should get in some quality Coney time before the impending destruction metamorphosis. Headed down where as referenced by a previous post, I found out the Retro 50 Diner was RIP. If I wasn't so lazy about commuting into Manhattan for work, I wouldn't mind living back in south Brooklyn. Went there last night to find it shut down *just* recently. While it was not quite a mecca of fine dining, I've gone there with many friends over the years, sometimes we ate while the sun came up after a long, fun night out, so I am really going to miss it.

So I moved back to the big BK a couple of weeks ago, only now I am in the very north of Brooklyn whereas last time I was in the very south near Coney Island. As much as people complain about the , I must say I prefer it to the hour+ commute I used to have to take from Bay Parkway on the B (which doesn't even go there anymore post 9/11).
